Open Eudora
The
Eudora 5.1 icon looks like this:

You
do not need to be connected to the
Internet to set-up Eudora.
If
this is the first time you have run Eudora,
you will be offered the assistance of the Eudora
Set-up Wizard, which will guide you
through the set-up process. If you are using
the Set-up Wizard, you may like to jump ahead
to the settings
section.
2.
Set-up new account
From
the Tools menu, select Options...

The
Option window will appear...
2a.
Enter settings
In
the Options window you will now need to enter
a number of settings, described below.

Real
Name
|
This
is the name that will appear in the
"From" field when you send
someone an email message. It does
not need to be your full name - in
fact it can be anything you like.

Return
Address
|
Your
full email address, e.g. blah@concordnet.com.au
|
|
Mail
Server (Incoming)
|
mail.concordnet.com.au
|
|
Login
Name
|
Your
full email address, e.g. blah@concordnet.com.au
|
|
Mail
Server (Outgoing)
|
mail.tsn.cc
|
When
you have finished entering these settings,
click OK.

Entering your password
You
check your email by clicking on the Check
Mail button in the toolbar at the top of
the screen:

When
you check for new mail, you will be asked for
your password:

If
you do not want to enter your password every
time you run Eudora, you can "save"
your password using steps below...
2c.
Saving your password
From
the Tools menu, select Options...
When
the Options window appears, click on the Checking
Mail category on the left hand side. The
window should now look like the one below.
Click
on the Save password checkbox (as
indicated by the red arrow). Then click OK.

Finished!
You
will now be able to connect to the Internet
and send and receive email from your account.
