Disconnected by Remote Computer

Possible Solutions

Your computer has reported that "You have been disconnected by the remote computer". This message is a bit misleading as 95% of the time the problem lies on the client end of the connection.

  1. Usually rebooting your machine will remedy this problem, however, if the problem persists try these other solutions.
  2. Your account may have expired or is out of credit.
    TCP/IP stack has corrupted.
  3. Your line from Telstra is not performing very well. (The only way to check if this is the problem is to ring TSN helpdesk).
  4. You have a modem incompatibility problem. If you have a LT win modem or Rockwell HCF modem. Please look up the appropriate one under connection problem.
